چکیده
Introduction: The rooting of cuttings is a fundamental step in olive tree production. This preliminary favoured by specific environmental conditions, which demand strict and permanent control across the production system. Achieving these conditions poses major challenge for propagators. In this context, greenhouse technique best response most productive method used globally, including Mediterranean regions. study aims to characterize microclimate tunnel-type according wintertime climatic Morocco’s central region assess its performance fostering cutting growth. Methods: Evaluation efficiency based on measured parameters inside outside studied greenhouse. Also, we statistical data processing SPSS software identification regression analysis factors key determining success cuttings. Results: experimentally obtained results clearly show first time that solar radiation factor rooting. type guarantees homogeneous allows reduction 66% external global radiation, decreases transpiration prevents leaf wilting. also system ensures an internal air relative humidity close saturation value generally stable throughout day, with favourable successful However, temperature was too high during daytime very low nighttime, indicating unfavorable conditions. Conclusion: can provide guidelines propagators improve design climate increase yield quality crop.

Relation between leaf and stem biochemical constituents and rooting ability of olive cuttings
The relationships between rooting potential with endogenous phenolic compounds, nitrogen and soluble carbohydrates of cuttings for five olive cultivars (‘Rowghani’, ‘Dusti’, ‘Tokhmekabki’, ‘Konservalia’ and ‘Amigdalolia’) were investigated. Extracts of the leaves and the base of the cuttings were used for analysis of biochemical compounds. Results showed that there were significant differences ...
متن کاملEffect of grafting on eggplant leaf gas exchanges under mediterranean greenhouse conditions
Grafting is an easier and faster approach than plant breeding to take advantage of both existing resistant plants, especially wild cultivars, and high-bred cultivars. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in leaf photosynthetic capacity of a hybrid eggplant Solanum melongena L., cv. Rima (R), widely used in Greece] when grafted on tomato rootstocks known for their resistance to n...
متن کاملQuality Performance of 'Smyrna' Type Figs Grown under Mediterranean Conditions of Tunisia
‘Smyrna’ type figs (Zidi ‘ZD’: dark fruit and Thgagli ‘THG’; Bidhi ‘BD’ and Khedri ‘KHD’: white fruit) originated from two areas of fig production in Tunisia were subject to physico-chemical description and spectrophotometric analysis for their sugar (glucose, fructose and sucrose) and organic acid (citric and malic) contents. Fruit weight ranged between 54 and 82 g, fruit width between 47 and ...
متن کاملGenetic variation in rooting ability of loblolly pine cuttings: effects of auxin and family on rooting by hypocotyl cuttings.
After about 20 days, hypocotyl cuttings from 20-day-old loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.) seedlings rooted easily in the presence of the auxin indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), with roots forming directly from xylem parenchyma. In contrast, woody cuttings from 1-2-year-old hedged seedlings formed roots indirectly from callus tissue in 60-90 days, but IBA had little effect on rooting. Variation in rooti...

In forest production systems, vegetative propagation of elite clones through adventitious rooting is a common practice. In Chile, adventitious rooting is the main methodology for vegetative reproduction of Pinus radiata. However, the capability of produce adventitious roots in gymnosperms decreases with aging. While it is true that some efforts have been made to identify markers or/and regulato...
